to the dying of the old year 2023

The old year goes out in fire

The days lengthen and the sun shyly peaks out from behind cloud safely

Tree drops needles unashamedly

As the sky weeps

We wait tensely for a new chapter

A page to turn to another year

Joyful tis nearly past the season

The holiday stress is nearly through

The depth of winter in the winter of the soul

Holly, Ivy, reindeer and snowpeople

Christmas fear while we light candles

Songs mixed with tears

We’ll hold each other close next year

As the light langthens each day

The light of our love will burn an eternity

Turn the page to the unwritten future

Hope for the new year

A certainty of love

No words are needed

Silence speaks to our

Love in the new year
