On Our Way To The Execution

I kissed you like it was the last time

our silent trauma bleeds together

In our messy chaotic masterpiece

You gave my dead flowers I’ve brought back to life

don’t forget to pick up chocolate on your way to the execution

fire outside our window

We freeze in the night

Our pain dipped in weirdness

open the windows

to breath in the smoke

make love to me in the  ashes

The executions are coming

let’s live while we wait

sing songs to the children that we’ll never have

I cradle the corpse of my broken dreams

lost in the ashes

let’s sit here and scream

hold each other while the world goes insane

apathy  nation

they choose not to care

As our future is dying

we dance on the graveyard

we long to atone

yet the sins were not ours

 atonement you must make

execution notice of our neighbors today

we mourn them in silence

our prayers are unspoken

don’t bother

no one cares

let the fire consume you

executions will come for you in the end

maybe one morning when I wake you’ll be gone

Or perhaps you’ll lose me in the dark of nights

all we know is they’re coming,

we must learn to fight

together we’re fire

alone we were cold

I made you  tea from my weeping

 put tears in our stew

Each kiss is a reason

a reason to live

To speak life into silence

You’ll paint earth’s destruction

I’ll write it all down
