Against Humanity 


Crimes against humanity

When you bomb civilians a piece of your humanity dies


Sending lethal aid to Ukraine,

As Gaza bleeds

As Palestine dies,

 you shut your eyes


War criminals claiming moral high ground

We police the world

We break your democracies,

Put your people in chains


As the innocent die with their blood on our hands

We embrace every sanction


Blue stars and red stripes,

We hang up on a pole

We salute our founders- white supremacists souls 


Stepped in rage and anger, 

We see you as our enemy, 

In reality it’s the state, 


 Un-Gallantly gleaming

We hail the empire in it’s evil vilany 


We hate you because we are told to,

Why don;t we question? 

Why don’t we doubt? 


In empire we trust,

The dollar is God

We worship this idol in near every Church


Jesus we;ve forsaken 

Unfollowed-disowned

We deny

We unfriend him

Let him rot in the tomb


We oppress

We make captive

Bomb our enemies into submission

We strike both cheeks just to be sure

We won’t walk half a mile

Poison our enemies water

Starve them to death

Withholding healthcare

We choose hate over love, 

Wealth over equality

How, friend, is that following Jesus? 

Wouldn’t we make Jesus weep? 


Take the empire from our own eyes

Put the stones away

Take our faith out of capitalism, 

Rise up,

bringing freedom to the captives, releasing the opprsseed,

It's what Jesus cammanded those who call on his name

It's time now we listen and bring peace to our world!

    I read. I appreciate. Sometimes, I feel like all that we have left is our words. I am becoming very disillusioned. I am trying to keep the faith, but honestly I'm not very faithful in the effort to love others at least not with feeling. In action, I'm still committed. But my emotions have worn me down.
