 Contradictions to Believe In

Sensing the absurd 

Clashing of conflicting contradictions   


Trying to find self 

Instead I am a person I don’t understand


World view mix up 

Simultaneously black and white world view


Attempting to understand other humans

Maybe I should have started with myself


Dial down the tone

Speak softly 

Don’t overreact


Why doesn’t everyone take a stand! 


Views from the past cause guilt and shame

I didn’t know  better, but shouldn’t I have known better?


Beyond belief

Ideas fight to be heard

How simple to follow,

Yet I must lead myself


Human bias

Whom to believe


Leading the followers 

While following

Role reversals 


Seeking the truth in darkness

Knee deep in depth deception


If I could just take hold of something

Standing on the sidelines


Fear of self

What if I convince others towards evil

What if I believe another lie


We are all going to if we don’t take action now

Our climate will not wait for us to decide and debate ideologies


Down with our Empire! 

United in critiquing ourselves


Our utopia 

Stand with the masses

Or not


How to destroy ourselves 101

Lead in humility


Truth speakers 

you want to shut us up?

We will not be shaken

Our silence is a gift 

You are not given


Foundational shakeup

A still small voice


Guilty are the innocent 

Truth is treason


Empire threatened

Don’t poke the bear


Thrown away

Speak up or shut up


A city on a fail

Disunited

We stand


Hail caesar!


Blood money


Taking up our false god, we follow thee


Mind reform

Re-educated 

We know our real history


Defiant, we will not bend the knee

Truth is our drug

Our weapon is our humanity

Living reality


Peace in our hearts 

Hope shelters

Her wings

Entwined in our actions

Her head resting on our chests

A hand gently holds her

She coos 

As Peace takes flight
